Electrical resistance tomography (ERT) device POLARES

The Polares is a product manufactured by PASI. It is made for archaeological surveys, and a shallow detailed investigations of pollutant plums in the ground. It is suitable for the applications, like waste site deposit monitoring, mapping and monitoring of salty water contamination of groundwater reservoirs along coastal areas. This product comes in accordance to the Vertical Electrical Soundings principles that involve the applying of a nonstop current to two stakes within the ground. They also include the measuring the corresponding voltage between the other two. As a result, the applied current and relative tension are always continuous with an inversion in polarity for each measure.
