The ID1101G encoder-head measures only 9.0 x 6.8 mm with a thickness of 0.9 mm and provides A and B pulses in quadrature. The pulse-frequency ranges from 0 Hz up to 200 kHz. The extremely small dimensions allow the encoder to be integrated inside spindles, drives and electric motors. The encoder scans gearteeth of different materials with module 0.4 to 0.7. In order to achieve the best possible resolution, a pulse-multiplication factor ranging from x1 to x64 can be selected.

The main features of this encoder are its extremely small dimensions and its insensitivity to dust, water, oil, grease and even magnetic fields.
