The RUGGEDCOM RS8000 family of Ethernet switches is ready for harsh environments and offers Zero Packet Loss™ technology to ensure a high level of immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI), and heavy electrical surges. Ideal for environments, such as those found in electric utility substations, industrial plant floors, and curb side traffic control cabinets, this family of 8-port managed Ethernet switches provides IEEE 1613 Class 2 error-free communications under EMI stress with an operating temperature range of –40 to +85° C. It also comes with the RUGGEDCOM Operating System (ROS®), with simple plug-and-play operation as well as top-of-the-range cybersecurity features, management tools, and a rich set of diagnostics.
