DM - Monosert & Duosert Inserts Southco's MonoSert and DuoSert DM Inserts provide simple front-mount installation, solid connections, and interchangeability for thin-panel mounting in rack and enclosure installations. They are an ideal fit for IT-style racks, with a lower installed cost than cage nuts and with greater flexibility for reconfiguration in the field. FEATURES AND BENEFITS These easy-to-install inserts provide a better, more cost-efficient alternative to conventional cage nuts. They require no special tools, install from the front of the rack or panel, and are easily repositioned to permit interchangeability of components in the field. Both inserts fit industry standard 9.5 mm square holes common to IT rack systems Front-mounting style enables use with tubular racks and crowded racks without convenient access Components mount to installed insert using an M6 machine screw Inserts are retained in rack (or panel) after components are removed Reusable inserts can easily be removed and repositioned in the field, if desired MonoSert style for light- and medium-duty use includes spring steel receptacle with hardened steel screw DuoSert style provides superior clamping force for thinner panels Both styles provide shock-resistant and vibration-resistant performance when tightened AVAILABLE OPTIONS Different sizes may be ordered to suit other industry-standard dimensions Modified MonoSert and DuoSert designs are also available to satisfy specific mounting requirements
