S-TEX Silica Fibre Twisted Yarn: S-TEX silica twisted yarns are made using textured twisted continuous filament silica yarn which are highly resilient, versatile and have excellent space filling properties. The basic fibres are inorganic, sterile and incombustible and suitable for temperatures up to 1000°C. They are resistant to oils, solvents and most chemicals, but direct contact with live steam should be avoided. The fibres will not rot and are unaffected by fungi, insects and bacteria etc.
