Autoclave Chamber/Load Probe (SL160) Sensor :
The SL160 series of autoclave chamber/load probe detection are similar to the SL150 series, but differ in having a 90° bend and a professional chisel point to allow penetration of the product bottle industrial seal.
When mounting a load probe with a straight sheath into a product bottle/container in an autoclave it is often difficult to achieve the desirable orientation. This is often due to both the weight of the probe lead wire and its restrictive bending radius. The SL160 is designed to circumvent this by having a 90° bend in the probe sheath. The addition of a chisel point at the probe tip also allows it to be inserted with relative ease through the bottle seal it there is one.
The SL160 chamber/load probes are currently being fitted as original equipment by a major autoclave manufacturer.
