Considered mainly as a trenching specialist, UNAC has used its know-how for activities as varied and complex as the forest or railroad industries. UNAC trenchers are available on caterpillar tracks or tyres. Their power transmission is entirely hydrostatic, which makes it possible to :
- Obtain continuous speed transition.
- Ensure hydrostatic braking due to circuit reversibility.
- Limit efforts : a pressure-limiting valve placed on the hydrostatic circuit eliminates overloads
- Obtain device flexibility : the heat engine is positioned in such a way as to contribute to the machine's equilibrium.
UNAC platform trucks are multi-purpose. Changing from one tool to another (saw, chain or ploughshare) can be done in approximately one hour. This means the same platform truck can be available on all types of sites. Thanks to the turntable levelling system and the hudraulic offset, the tool remains vertical at all times. The power mechanizations available are CATERPILLAR 180CV - 275CV and DEUTZ 450CV - 550CV. The standard tools are the saw (0.50 m to 1.40 m deep by 60 mm to 550 mm wide) and the chain (0.50 m to 2.50 m deep by 150 mm to 600 mm wide).
