TechnologiesA fall arrest harness is worn to protect the worker against the risks of falling (unlike a safety harness). Since it is designed to break a fall, it is equipped with attachment points in the form of dorsal rings between the shoulder blades and sternal rings on the chest.
How to chooseA fall arrest harness must be perfectly adapted to the situation in which it will be used. The various categories are:
- Class A (fall arrest)
- Class AD (suspension and controlled descent)
- Class AE (limited access)
- Class AP (work positioning)
- Class AL (ladder climbing)
In addition, the harness should be certified, meeting the EN 361 standard. It should be ergonomically designed to afford the wearer maximum comfort.
