The 2KM SilcoStar machines are high-quality production units. Their powerful hydraulic actuation system centrally operates the pumps. Thus, lateral forces which may appear in case of a mechanical coupling and consequently lead to a rise in wear, may be avoided. 2KM SilcoStar metering systems are environmentally safe, as colours and additives are only metered in the injection moulding machine's mixing head. This means that the flushing paths are kept as short as possible, consequently, the loss of material is reduced to a minimum. The units are equipped with a modern PLC control. Machine operation may be effected rather easily by means of only a few switches and hand-actuated auxiliary switches. Control of the machine is done by means of large switching contact manometers (option) which enable the user to survey the excellent function even from a little distance. By means of the switching contacts it is possible to protect the system against lack of material as well as against overpressure.
