Description

Overview
The Apollo II High-Intensity Liquid Inspection Unit provides purpose-built visual particulate inspection for coloured or opaque pharmaceutical containers, translucent plastics and turbid or coloured liquid preparations where standard illumination is insufficient.

Key features
  • Engineered for challenging applications: Optimised for tinted glass vials, translucent plastic containers and turbid/coloured liquids.
  • High-intensity illumination: 8,000–10,000 Lux to enhance particulate detection through coloured or opaque materials.
  • Dual-panel contrast system: Black and white inspection panels for visibility of both light and dark particles.
  • Ergonomic adjustability: Fully height- and angle-adjustable to reduce operator fatigue during extended inspections.
  • Tool-free assembly and foldable: Intuitive setup; folds flat for safe storage and panel protection.
  • Long-life LEDs: Energy-efficient LEDs with approx. 50,000-hour lifespan.
  • Validation-ready: Optional IQ/OQ documentation available to support GMP compliance.

Compliance
  • Supports inspection conditions aligned with European Pharmacopoeia EP 2.9.20
  • British Pharmacopoeia BP 2.9.20
  • United States Pharmacopeia USP (1790) Section 6.1

Applications
Designed for visual particulate inspection in pharmaceutical production and QC labs where coloured, translucent or opaque containers and turbid liquids require enhanced illumination for reliable contamination detection.

Suitable container types
  • Coloured glass containers (amber, blue, green, etc.)
  • Translucent or opaque plastic containers
  • Turbid or coloured liquid preparations

Service & Maintenance
The unit can be cleaned with IPA- or ethanol-based agents and supports routine hygiene procedures in pharmaceutical inspection environments. LED modules require minimal maintenance.
