AMTI’s Pitch-and-Roll Treadmill is designed for the evaluation of walking and running on an unlevel surface. An intuitive software control interface allows the treadmill to be inclined +/- 14 degrees (front-to-back) and tilted +/- 14 degrees (left-to-right). The treadmill design features a split belt configuration that eliminates loss of data during the double support phase of walking and allows the belt speeds to be synchronized or controlled individually.
A six-axis AMTI force plate is located under each belt to record the ground reaction forces (Fx, Fy, Fz) and moments (Mx, My, Mz) generated by the subject. High-performance motor controllers and included software provide users with an intuitive interface for control of treadmill pitch and roll, belt travel direction, and belt speed up to 20 km/h.
