The proposed scissor clamp is a clamp whose tightening is proportional to the load handled as well as to its external diameter.
The main components are:
Two outer and two inner gripping shoes, each fitted with a ½ inch hard copper protection plate. The inner shoes are fitted with PA6 ep 15 truncated cone protectors to facilitate insertion into the core of the coils.
The outer gripping shoes are synchronised in translation by a rack and pinion mechanism.
A fixed laying plate, bolted to the frame of the clamp. The lower face of the plate is fitted with a 10mm thick PA6 plate to avoid marking the coils.
The opening lock is made by an automatic 1/4 turn lock located in the upper part of the clamp. A window in the female part of the lock allows the position to be seen.
All the joints of the clamp are mounted on wear rings, the most stressed parts of the levers are provided with alloy steel reinforcements.
All the bolts and nuts of this clamp are mounted with a medium thread lock.
