Product overviewAgripak short-fiber monofilament spinning lines produce filaments for brushes, brooms and toothbrushes. Based on Marco Terragni’s filament-spinning legacy, these lines were developed originally for PVC and adapted to process a wide range of polymers including PE, PP, PA and PET. Equipment is designed for modular integration and industrial production.
Applications- Paint brushes
- Toothbrushes
- Household brushes
- Industrial brushes (vehicle brushes, fruit cleaning, street cleaning)
- Household brooms
- Industrial brooms
Technological innovation- Automated extrusion with AI-supported process optimization to reduce waste and energy consumption
- Automatic process control ensuring consistent filament diameter, strength and surface finish
- Custom screw profiles and spin-pack designs matched to each polymer to increase productivity and stability
Sustainability and recyclingAgripak lines can process PET bottle flakes into short fiber suitable for brush filaments. Integrated drying, precise mixing and real-time intrinsic viscosity (IV) control are combined with AI algorithms to stabilize quality when using recycled feedstock.
Modularity and customizationSolutions are tailored by polymer type and target capacity. Available modular units and equipment include:
- Ovens and stretching units for orientation and stabilization of the fiber
- Spin packs and extrusion components adapted to polymer and output
- Converting machines including:
- Tow wrapping machines
- Tow cutting machines
- Defibrillating machines
- Tow finishing equipment (hank winders, cutting units, stretching godets)
