Description

As a scanning process head, the LASERHEAD-S is used for all kinds of surface processing tasks. On a scan field with a maximum edge length of 150 mm, complex laser hardening applications as well as laser welding and laser soldering tasks can be performed (e.g. gap bridging). If relevant to the process, various wobble patterns are available or can be edited by the user. In this way, cracking of difficult materials can be counteracted. A special feature is the area-covering and highly precise temperature control of the workpiece surface by means of a coaxially guided IR camera. Visual observation, adjustment and image processing are performed by a coaxially guided Ethernet camera. The scanner optics are characterized by a compact and lightweight design. The complete control as well as the electronic components are accommodated in the process head. The LASERHEAD-S has a completely water-cooled housing and is protected against possible laser-induced damage thanks to suitable sensor technology - continuous operation under high performance is thus guaranteed. Optionally, the LASERHEAD-S can be equipped with add-on components such as cross jet, external illumination or a gas nozzle.
