For the grinding of wood, biomass, waste tyres: Wood chips, sawdust or wood shavings as well as other lumpy biomass can easily be processed with our KAHL pan grinder mill. Especially the crushing of biomasses with high water contents, such as wood chips fresh from the forest, can cause problems in conventional mill systems due to the elastic product behaviour. For these applications, the KAHL pan grinder mill is an ideal and also energy-efficient solution due to its shearing and cutting principle. The capacity is determined by the dry matter content of the product to be ground. As the water content increases, the mill capacity increases, so that the subsequent process steps can always be supplied with sufficient crushed product, even if the water content of the raw material fluctuates. Another strength of the KAHL pan grinder mill results from the interaction with the KAHL flat die pelleting press. When using both machines in a KAHL wood pelleting plant, reliable pellets in EN Plus quality can be produced without additional crushing machines like hammer mills. The KAHL pan grinder mill is characterised by high capacities (1-35 t/h), low energy consumption and smooth running and is ideally suited for wet grinding of G30 and G50 wood chips.
