An Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer (ANFD) is a versatile piece of equipment designed to carry out filtration, washing, and drying operations in a closed system without changing equipment. It consists of a steam jacketed filtration vessel fitted with a filtration medium at the bottom and an agitator that helps in slurry mixing and drying stages. The system allows for efficient separation of solids from liquids, washing of the filtered cake, and drying of the final product in the same vessel, thereby minimizing material handling and contamination risks. It is ideal for handling sensitive or hazardous materials particularly for processes that require strict containment or corrosive duties and can be designed to support CIP and cGMP operations for US-FDA manufacturing sites.
