Built upon the success of AMETEK Process Instruments’ proven quartz crystal microbalance technology, the 5830 is ideal for critical moisture measurement applications, and is designed to be user-friendly. It combines exceptional accuracy, multi-gas compatibility, a fast response speed and wide measurement range. A menu-driven gas selection system eliminates the need for all manual adjustments. The 5830 employs a unique non-equilibrium measurement technique that continuously exposes the gas to wet sample gas followed by dry sample gas, enabling a fast response to both rises and falls in moisture concentration. Designed to rapidly build and maintain operator confidence in its analyses, the 5830 is ideal for critical moisture measurements in the industrial gas and semiconductor industries. ONLINE VERIFICATION SYSTEM The user is able to challenge the sensor at will, with either a zero gas or NIST-traceable moisture concentration. This allows the analyzer’s baseline stability and responsiveness to real moisture to be checked. MULTI-GAS COMPATIBILITY The 5830 is compatible with virtually all non-corrosive gases, including inerts and air, and many specialty gases such as sulfur hexafluoride. A single, simple menu selection is the only requirement to reconfigure the 5830 for a new gas type. WIDE MEASUREMENT RANGE While the recommended usable range is between 0.02 parts per million by volume (ppmv) and 100 ppmv, the analyzer will provide measurements up to 1000 ppmv, so the user can capture the nature of a process upset.
