Description

Overview
The 993X gas analyzer uses proven AMETEK analytical technology in a redesigned platform to provide a multi-component measurement solution. The optical bench supports continuous measurement across ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) wavelengths, with hydrogen (H2) monitored via a Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD). An integrated sample conditioning system reduces the need for external analytical hardware.

Operational advantages
The analyzer offers multiple heater options (available up to 165°C) for applications with high dew points, reducing or eliminating the need for coolers. A large touchscreen provides on-site access to analyzer data and controls without a laptop. The unit is designed for outdoor installation and operates without consumables or reagents.

Typical measurable components
  • Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
  • Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
  • Carbonyl sulfide (COS)
  • Carbon disulfide (CS2)
  • Chlorine (Cl2)
  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Carbon dioxide (CO2)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)

Stable measurements
The 993X uses a dual-beam optical configuration with a reference detector to reduce drift. Hollow cathode lamps provide long-term stability across temperature variations, minimizing span drift.

Analytical flexibility
Configurations include multiple hollow cathode lamps and a rotating filter wheel to measure several UV-absorbing components simultaneously. For single-component applications a fixed bench (no filter wheel) option reduces maintenance and noise.

Features
  • Simultaneous analysis of up to eight components
  • Optical bench: up to five UV components, two IR components, plus H2 by TCD
