Silicone Dust Cup (D & B Tooling). AMI POLYMER PVT. LTD. supplies tip-mounted, barrel and below styles of dust cups, each manufactured in silicone. Metal-detectable and food-grade silicone variants are available. Dust cups provide a cost-effective means to keep formulation off tooling, prevent lubricant transfer onto tablets and reduce issues such as tool binding and contamination.
Advantages of silicone
Silicone dust cups retain most physical properties at temperatures up to 250° Celsius, enabling operation on presses at elevated temperatures for prolonged production runs. Silicone rubber resists oils, solvents and various chemicals at higher temperatures than many alternative materials.
