Integrated rotary trimmer and rotary leak tester for plastic bottles with round necks. It is usually installed after the extrusion blow molding equipment, at high speed. The rotary trimming carousel incorporates a fixed cutting system featuring bottle rotation and carousel orbital movement. It consists of a set of rollers and a blade holder specially adapted to the neck of bottles with an adjustable cutting blade. The neck of the bottle is gripped at three points, eliminating the risk of any unwanted movement of the bottle during the trimming operation (especially at high cutting speeds), thus guaranteeing a perfect cut and sealing surface on all plastic materials. The cutting action is made in cold without the need to heat the cutting blade. Long-lasting and re-sharpened blade. It includes an ejection system for trimmed domes towards a collector funnel for later use. The trimmer delivers the bottle to the leak tester by central star, avoiding possible bottles falls between machines. The rotary tester carousel performs leak testing, thus avoiding to send leaked bottles to filling. The rotary equipment allows to maintain an adequate test time even at high production rates, thus maintaining the quality and reliability of the test for leaks up to 0.1 mm. The bottles go in an out from the machine by a chain or air conveyor, according to the production line requirements.
