Description
The I²Master® is a logic acquisition and pulse counting module featuring 8 digital inputs, each individually opto‑isolated. The input high logic level supports a wide range. Each input can operate as a digital (ON/OFF) input, as a pulse counter, or both simultaneously. Index retention can be configured per channel to preserve counts during power outages.
Designed for data collection on ERDF telemetry racks in building main distribution boards and for integration with Gazpar meters, the I²Master® delivers measurement points to a master system via Modbus/Jbus RTU or TCP. Typical masters include PLCs, BMS/SCADA supervision, dataloggers or remote consumption reading systems.
The I²Master® is supplied ready to use: apart from setting the Modbus/Jbus address or IP, no initial configuration is required. Detailed channel configuration is performed via the Modbus interface without dedicated software or hardware.
For applications requiring enhanced reliability, supervision functions (hardware watchdog or monitoring on Modbus communication loss) can be enabled via Modbus.
The unit includes multiple front‑panel LEDs to simplify commissioning.

Fields of application
  • Acquisition of digital signals in normal to harsh or heterogeneous conditions.
  • Multi‑channel pulse counting.
  • Energy accounting on ERDF telemetry racks.
