The BL Smart time-programmable lab blender is designed for preparation of food and environmental samples prior to microbiological analysis. Its two flat hammers apply an alternating pressing action on sterile sample bags to achieve rapid, uniform homogenization while minimising excessive cell membrane damage. The unit accepts standard sterile sample bags (18 x 30 cm) and is suitable for a wide range of sample consistencies, including tougher matrices.
