Description

Overview
WD4000 medium-voltage variable frequency drives (VFD). Wolong is a leading manufacturer of high-voltage drives with 25 years of experience and a global installed base for industrial pump, fan, blower, compressor, and conveyor applications. The WD4000 family offers VFDs to help reduce energy consumption and ease maintenance costs for Mining, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Power Generation, and general processing industries.

Advantages
  • Best-in-class 18-pulse phase shift transformer as standard starting at 1000 HP.
  • Performs with low distortion which lowers harmonics for the local grid, exceeding IEEE 519 and most utility codes.
  • Cascaded H-Bridge topology: IGBT based multi-level voltage source inverter delivering low distortion output.
  • Eliminates the need for filters and can control legacy as well as modern motors.
  • Superior to 2- or 3-level inverters and far superior to current source inverter designs.
  • High system reliability with neutral rebalancing; drive can continue to run if a power module fails, allowing planned controlled shutdowns.
  • Modular design for easy maintenance and fast swap out of power modules; front access to components.
  • Industry-leading power density for an optimal footprint.
  • Fast lead times.

Features
  • Application: Fans, pumps, compressors, blowers, conveyors.
  • Power semiconductors: IGBT’s; Diodes.
  • Input Voltage: 4160V ±10%, optionally 3.3 - 13.8 kV.
  • Input Voltage Frequency: 50/60 Hz, ±5%.
  • Input overvoltage (swell): 20%.
  • Input undervoltage (dip or sag): -34%, continuous operation with reduced torque.
  • Line-side rectifier: 18 pulse diode rectifiers.
  • Input power factor: ≥0.95 (load > 10%).
  • Input current harmonics: Meets IEEE519.
  • Motor-side inverter: Multi-level inverter (PWM) with IGBT power modules.
  • Output cable length: No filter needed if less than 2.2 km.
  • Output voltage: 4 / 4.16 kV.
