Harsh environments Axon’ rectangular micro-D connectors are designed for harsh environments. With 1.27 mm (.050?) contact spacing, micro-D connectors, half the size of D-Sub connectors, represent an excellent solution to save both space and weight. By its very design, the rectangular Micro-D connector system meets all the requirements of robustness, durability, low contact resistance, high current, dielectric strength, shock and vibration. Axon’ micro-D connectors meet the most severe requirements of the MIL-DTL-83513 standard. In addition to a complete range of QPL qualified Micro-D connectors to MIL-DTL-83513, Axon’ also offers micro-D PCB connectors and pigtails in both metal and plastic bodied versions. Axon’ QPL and standard micro-D connectors are based on the highly reliable Twist Pin contact technology, which by its design and performance enables the system to meet the most severe requirements. Space grade and ESA approved connectors to ESCC3401/029 (MDSA range), ESCC3401/091 (D-Click® micro D, MDDCSA Axon’ reference) are available. Rectangular micro-D connectors can be equipped with the D-Click® user-friendly latching system Interposers: solderless PCB to PCB connection As an alternative solution for PCB connection, Axon' has developed plastic interposers made with twist-pin contacts. With a thickness of 0.65 mm, they are designed for solderless connection in a space-constrained area. Axon' interposers are available with 9,15, 22, 26 or 31 ways. They can be simply compressed between two rigid PCB sections. This is an ideal solution to connect 2 PCBs in a very space-constrained equipment.
