Overview
Machine for the production of sterilizable bags using Tyvek® designed for medical and pharmaceutical packaging. Combines a breathable Tyvek® microbial barrier with tear-resistant film construction to enable gas sterilization processes such as ethylene oxide (EO).

Application
Sterilizable Tyvek® bags are intended for sterilization packaging of instruments, instrument sets and medical devices. The combination of gas-permeable Tyvek® with otherwise gas-tight film layers permits effective sterilization while maintaining barrier performance during storage and transport.

Design & Cleanroom
Machine engineered for cleanroom use and pharmaceutical environments. Cleanroom-compatible construction with the possibility to meet ISO cleanroom class 5 requirements. Layout and materials can be adapted to customer specifications for aseptic production.

Materials & Construction
Combined processing of film and Tyvek® to produce Tyvek® header bags and Tyvek® laminated constructions. Compatible combinations include Tyvek® + LDPE and Tyvek® with laminated films. Tyvek® (DuPont™) is a fibrous, breathable nonwoven providing the required microbial barrier and tear resistance for sterilizable packaging.
