Industrial SCADA-Lite
Product overview
Banalytics provides SCADA-adjacent capability, remote monitoring, alarms, event-driven rules, and remote control actions across sensing and DAQ pipelines, without the licensing cost, per-tag fees, or heavy on-prem install of full SCADA suites.
Problem this solves
Small-to-mid industrial or research teams need basic SCADA-style capability, live dashboards, alarms, remote control actions, and a historian, for one or a few sites, but full SCADA platforms are priced and licensed for large plants and require dedicated OT engineering to deploy.
How it works
Field devices → Banalytics acquisition → an optional processing module → Event Manager evaluates rules → remote dashboards and alarms, plus Action-based remote control (Modbus write, relay) → Event History acts as a lightweight historian.
Architecture example
Site A (Test Bench): sensors + DAQ, feeding Event Manager for a remote dashboard with live alarms.
Site B (Remote Pump Station): pressure/flow sensors, feeding Event Manager, with Modbus write to control a valve remotely and a Telegram alert.
All sites → Banalytics Dashboard · historian-lite (Event History) · remote access without VPN.
Who this is for
Research, DAQ, and measurement teams;
instrumentation engineers;
plant reliability teams who need light SCADA capability for one or a few sites, without enterprise licensing.
Key features
Live remote dashboards with alarm and event rules.
Modbus write actions for remote control of valves, relays, and similar devices.
Historian-lite via Event History.
Remote access without a VPN or static IP.
Vendor-independent acquisition across ONVIF, RTSP, Modbus, and USB devices.
Technical specifications
Supported protocols: Modbus (RTU/TCP) for remote control, MQTT, ONVIF/RTSP/USB for acquisition, OPC UA, I2C
Remote control: Modbus write actions to valves, relays, and similar control points, triggered by rule or manual command.
Historian-lite: Event History serves as a lightweight historian for alarms, actions, and state changes.
Remote access: dashboard and control available remotely without a VPN or a static IP.
Scale: intended for one or a few sites, not enterprise plant-wide SCADA deployments.
Way of work
Phase 0: Technical demo (free). Architecture walkthrough using your own use case, no data required.
Phase 1: PoC (always free). Validate the rules and remote-control interface for lightweight monitoring and control using mock or replayed data; no real hardware, no device-specific engineering.
Phase 2: Funded Pilot. Connect real devices and control points (valves, relays) and validate remote monitoring and control live. Commercial once a scoped rollout-assistance engagement is purchased, or a custom device/3rd-party software integration is required.
Phase 3: Production. Harden and scale to additional lines or sites; ongoing support agreed separately.
