Description

Compact, Fast-Response Temperature Sensing By detecting emitted infrared energy, the S15S Non-Contact Infrared Temperature Sensor quickly and reliably monitors temperatures without needing to be touching the target. Its compact and rugged IP65, IP67, and IP68-rated overmolded design allows installation in a wide variety of applications that require temperature monitoring. When connected to a cloud service, the S15S Temperature Sensor plays a crucial role in streamlining remote temperature analysis and monitoring. Key Benefits Rapid Measurement The S15S Temperature Sensor uses infrared technology that accurately determines a target’s temperature quicker than other sensor types, such as thermocouples. Temperature sensing checks to make sure targets are within thermal parameters, such as presence/absence of hot substances, machine temperature, and quality control. Real-time Remote Monitoring Using industry-standard Modbus RS-485 communication protocols, the S15S Temperature Sensor easily connects in-line or directly to a DXMR90 industrial controller. Data is sent to cloud services, such as Banner CDS, for real-time temperature monitoring from any location. Cost-Effective Temperature Sensing Both the compact size and rugged overmolded housing of the S15S help make temperature sensing more cost-effective than previous options. Remote monitoring with rapid data analysis and cloud-based alerts allow operators to respond quickly if something is amiss, improving uptime and cost efficiency.
