Overview
The VarioSys® modular production system for biotechnological and pharmaceutical products combines an isolator system from SKAN with customised machine modules from Bausch+Ströbel. The architecture allows rapid reconfiguration by exchanging modules and supports both clinical-sample production and batch manufacturing within a single installation. The line can be extended with compatible freeze-drying equipment from GEA to create integrated processing chains.

How it works / Key features
Modular machine concept: an isolator by SKAN is combined with plug-in machine modules from Bausch+Ströbel. Modules are mounted using a lock-and-key principle and connected via plug-in interfaces to enable fast exchange and reconfiguration. The system supports scalable production modes, allowing clinical runs and full batch production in the same installation. Expansion with compatible freeze-drying equipment from GEA enables extended processing sequences.
