Protective jaws for velcro aluminium with rubber are quick-change protective vice jaws designed to protect scratch-sensitive parts during clamping. They combine a lightweight, non-magnetic aluminium base with an abrasion-resistant rubber coating and a Dual Lock (pressure-lock) snap fastener for a secure, removable connection.

Area of application
The 50 mm protective jaws are made of aluminium with a pressure lock and are suitable for use on the ball joint vise 9-205-K. The abrasion-resistant rubber coating protects sensitive parts from scratches or damage. The Dual Lock (pressure lock) snap fastener provides a very firm, but removable mechanical fastening with high shear strength; it can be clicked crossed, offset or overlapped and withstands sustained jarring motion.

Technical description
The pressure lock (Dual Lock) is specified for over 1,000 locking cycles, made of polyolefin with acrylate (VHB) adhesive. Temperature resistance is continuously -30 to +70 °C (short term up to +95 °C). The pressure lock is food-resistant, moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, ageing-resistant and chemical- and plasticizer-resistant. Dynamic tensile strength is approx. 21 N/cm²; maximum static tensile and shear strength approx. 160 g/cm². Flammability test passed according to FAR 25.853 (b-2). Unprocessed storage shelf life: 12 months at 20 °C and 50% relative humidity.
