Description
Pair of 50 mm quick-change protective jaws made of durable plastic with a Velcro-style pressure lock (Dual Lock) and prisms/grooves for secure clamping of oval and round parts. Designed as removable, stable protective inserts for vice jaws (quick-change system) to protect delicate workpieces while providing a precise grip.

The 50 mm protective jaws are made of plastic with a pressure lock and are designed for use with the ball-joint vise 9-205-K (SPANNFIX). Longitudinal and transverse grooves plus prisms allow secure clamping of round and oval objects. The Dual Lock snap fastener provides a very stable and precise fixation: small mushroom heads interlock to create a firm but removable connection that resists jarring motion. The pressure fastener can be clicked crossed, offset or overlapped and offers high shear strength compared to common hook-and-loop systems. The self-adhesive backing adheres immediately with excellent final adhesive strength, even at elevated temperatures and on rough surfaces.

Pressure lock (Dual Lock) characteristics: over 1,000 locking cycles; material: polyolefin; adhesive: acrylate (VHB); temperature resistance continuous -30 to +70 °C (short term +95 °C); food-resistant; moisture-, UV-, aging-, chemical- and plasticizer-resistant; dynamic tensile strength approx. 21 N/cm²; maximum static tensile and shear strength approx. 160 g/cm²; flammability test passed according to FAR 25.853 (b-2). Storage unprocessed: 12 months shelf life at 20 °C and 50% relative humidity. Dual Lock is a patented pressure lock system from 3M.
