The tread of electrically conductive wheels and castors in the TPA series is made from a high-quality thermoplastic rubber-elastomer (TPE) with a hardness of 85 Shore A. This material is cast onto a polypropylene wheel centre. The tread is non-marking and forms a strong, unbreakable bond with the wheel centre. The wheels and castors in the TPA…-ELS series offer a particularly low level of rolling and swivel resistance and are electrically conductive with a maximum ohmic resistance of 104 ohms. They are frequently used for medical equipment and measuring and testing equipment which needs to be protected against electric discharge.
