Overview
The BRS Filmgrabber separates films and foils from a recyclables stream at the start of the separation process. It removes more than 70% of the film fraction larger than A4, improving downstream sorting efficiency.

How it works
The unit uses a rotating drum driven by a variable-speed motor with inward/outward retractable pins. Recyclables are lifted by an air flow so the pins inside the drum can pick up and extract films and foils.

Self-cleaning
The BRS Filmgrabber includes a self-cleaning mechanism: retractable pins in the drum shed collected material to reduce manual cleaning interventions.

Air handling
The machine comprises an aeraulic suction system and an integrated dust collector with a capacity of 20,000 m³/h to manage airflow and dust extraction.

Preferred positioning
Install upstream of pre-sorting to facilitate manual cabin operators and optical sorters and to reduce contamination of downstream fractions.
