SafeMotion is based on the modular, configurable drive system ctrlX DRIVE plus and has a scalable scope of functions. It is available for standard applications as well as for the most demanding requirements with extended functions. At the same time, a purely drive-based safety solution independent of the higher-level control system can be implemented with this system. SafeMotion offers extensive safety functions up to SIL3 in connection with parameterizable safe logic for single axes. Due to the support of common fieldbus and safety protocols, SafeMotion can be easily integrated into various ecosystems. The safety functions are selectable in three packages: "Speed", "Position" and "SIL3+". For the selection methods, you can select between safe I/O, ctrlX SAFETYlink and safe fieldbus.
