Model ABB also has the tilting blade compacting system as the regular model, but the guide rails are anchored onto a mobile structure, hinged onto the box (hood), that opens when the material is unloaded. The waste is loaded and unloaded on the same side. The ABB single blade compactor has the great advantage of being able to unload horizontally thanks to an ejection system with movable blade actuated by a multi-stage cylinder. Tightness between box and hood is assured by a gasket on the two side jambs on the entire height and on the lower rail. A supplementary lock applied in the lower part of the hood actuated hydraulically assures mechanical tightness between the two structures. The compactor is moved and the hatch is opened with a truck fitted with roll-off equipment and auxiliary oilhydraulic circuit to be connected, during unloading, to the system controlling hatch opening and closing located on the compactor.
