C & B Machinery has redesigned Barber-Colman Gear Hobbing Machines to simplify and utilize standard off the shelf parts for reliability and maintainability. Combining our end customer’s different machine models and designs into one common design. Reverse engineering key components to allow the capability of providing proper drawings for our end customers. A completely new spindle and top slide design that would work across all models. New Electrical & Control System
Providing a solution to streamline the setup process and provide aids to eliminate operator guesswork. For this, we integrated X/Y digital scales with readouts. The scales are also used to replace the old limit switch used for the table in-feed providing an accurate and consistent gear depth that greatly improved their quality and reduced scape rates.
