The VA8871 is made to withstand external attack involving liquids like super glue. It is capable of resisting pull, punch, drill, picking attacks and twists. The 7 pin mechanism features 4 million key combinations. The lock is made up of brass. It is chrome plated for durability and is available with either a standard or flush latch. The layout and materials of the lock are provided to the use of unauthorized duplicate keys. Stainless steel core heads are available as an option for particularly harsh environments. The keys have a 316-grade Stainless Steel cups, attached to a plastic bow.
