The flexible modular system offers various machine variants in space saving design, all of which are characterised by a very small thermal growth. This innovative tool concept is designed for highest precision, easiest handling, external measuring of tools and shortest set-up times. The tools are held in tool-blocks with 5 positions each. These tool-blocks can be installed and removed very fast via a specially developed interface and guarantee a repeatability of less than 0,01 mm. The new tools are installed and measured externally and the coolant supplies are adapted to the specific tool positions. Ideally this takes place during machining of the current job. Different turning spindles with concentricity and axial run-out < 0,5 µm are available.
