A first of its kind for the mining industry, the Cat® MEC500 Mobile Equipment Charger is a standalone fast charging system designed to charge quickly and safely wherever it’s needed. Benefits Built Tough Designed to meet the IP66 standard, critical components are protected from both water and dust infiltration. The charger also meets ISO 2867 standards, offering protection from minor rockfalls. Key components are Isolation mounted against vibration or seismic activity. Fast charge The MEC500 offers high-power, fast opportunity charging where needed. Ultrafast battery charging is achieved by connecting two units in parallel to charge the LHD in less than 20 minutes. Mobile Equipped with a durable skid mount and integrated forklift eyes, the charger is efficiently moved to where the equipment is working via towing or fork truck.
