Description

Overview
  • The CHCNAV RS3600D is a compact dual-frequency Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) for accurate current and flow measurements in shallow and deep water, suitable for deployment on USV, survey vessels and channel buoys.

Main features
  • Dual-frequency operation: 1200 kHz and 3600 kHz; central depth beam at 600 kHz.
  • 9-beam transducer: 4 beams @1200 kHz, 4 beams @3600 kHz, plus 1 vertical beam @600 kHz.
  • High resolution water velocity profiling: 1 mm/s resolution and velocity accuracy ±0.25% ±2 mm/s.
  • Automatic smart frequency conversion to adapt measurement frequency to water conditions.
  • Onboard sensors: temperature, tilt and compass; pressure sensor optional.
  • Compact and lightweight: 191 x 126 mm, approx. 2 kg for easy multi-platform mounting.
  • Software and integration: HydroProfiler (PC), EasySail (USV integration), Android-based field operation.

Benefits and typical use cases
  • Multi-platform deployment: optimized for USV (e.g. APACHE 4), trimarans, tow-cable systems, survey vessels and fixed channel buoys.
  • High-precision measurements in very low-flow (near-still) conditions thanks to 1 mm/s resolution.
  • Single instrument for both shallow and deep water surveys and a wide range of flow conditions.
  • Efficient data workflow with direct result outputs, flow summary tables and one-click file transfer.
