Product OverviewENERVAC E865A high-vacuum oil purifier performs dehydration and degasification of electrical insulating liquids (transformer oils, polybutene, silicone fluids) to restore and maintain dielectric strength. The process removes free and soluble water, dissolved air and gases, and particulate contamination. E865A units are available as mobile and stationary configurations and are engineered for reliable, low-maintenance service.
Performance- Dehydration — at a minimum oil temperature of 80°F (≥27°C) reduces water from ~100 ppm to <10 ppm.
- Degasification — lowers soluble air from saturation (~12%) to <0.25% in a single pass; other dissolved gases, including combustibles, are also removed.
- Particulate removal — accelerator cartridge provides nominal 5 μm retention; optional downstream filtration for submicronic removal.
- Contaminant removal — Fullers Earth filters can remove oxidation products, varnish, paints and acids.
ApplicationsPrimary applications include extra-high-voltage transmission and manufacture of electrical apparatus. The high-vacuum process is also used for degasification of cable oils (including polybutene) and for oils used in electronic and radar equipment, vacuum pump seal oils, brake fluids and refrigeration oils — including phosphate esters and silicones.
Features & OptionsENERVAC E865A series is offered in mobile and stationary configurations, including trailer-mount options and a range of flow capacities. Units support unattended operation and are suitable for use on energized equipment; monitoring instrumentation is available.
