OverviewThe E575R Transformer Oil Regeneration Plant restores used transformer oil to near-virgin condition using a regenerable adsorbent media. The system delivers Fuller’s Earth treatment benefits without the disposal issues of spent clay by reactivating adsorbent in situ. Available as mobile or stationary (skid or container) units, the E575R is designed for large throughputs and continuous 24-hour operation.
Description of ProcessUsed oil is strained, heated and filtered before entering banks of adsorption columns. Primary physical parameters are restored in the column stage. Oil leaving the columns passes through a degassification unit and an afterfilter to complete regeneration. Column banks are reactivated in situ (no media removal) — typical reactivation time per bank is ~12 hours. Dual-bank operation enables uninterrupted processing while one bank is reactivated. At final exhaustion the media is reactivated and discarded as dry waste suitable for normal landfill, free of oily waste.
