CLIMAX BB4500 Line Boring Machine provides field-proven boring capability in a compact, cost-effective package. Developed as an alternative to the BB5000, the BB4500 delivers precision boring and flexible mounting for machining in confined or restricted workspaces.

• Quick and easy setup — Modular components with cast-iron set-up cones and spherical bearing mounts enable fast installation; typical setup time for an experienced operator is 30 minutes or less.
• High torque — Over 100 ft·lb (135 N·m) at the bar; rotational drive unit with 4:1 worm-gear reduction increases torque across speeds.
• Compact footprint — Designed for cramped or restricted spaces where larger machines cannot be used.
• Through-bar design — Rotational drive and feed units can be mounted anywhere along the bar, including separately, for maximum mounting flexibility.
• Motor options — Electric (reversible), hydraulic or pneumatic motors; fast two-bolt motor change-out; available servo conversion kits.
• Bar and tooling — Keyed, chromed 1.75" (44.5 mm) bar standard, optional 1.25" (31.8 mm); bar lengths 4–20 ft (1219.2–6096 mm) with 1/2" or 12 mm square-broached tooling holes.
