OverviewWithin the secondary suspension between the bogie and the vehicle body, our air spring systems provide flexible mounting of the vehicle body. Air springs have a low natural frequency, minimizing vibration transmission. They decouple the body from most track irregularities while allowing the bogie to rotate when the train negotiates curves.
System featuresThe system integrates an air spring with a rubber-metal auxiliary spring. This combined technology enables the development of configurable system variants for a wide range of bogie and vehicle body designs.
Product range- Half Bellow — Half bellows for bolster-less bogies allow large lateral deformation. Suitable for high-speed trains and modern local and metro bogies.
- Belted Air Spring — Belted air springs increase load capacity in bolstered bogies compared with conventional bellows.
- Double Convoluted Air Spring — A simple, reliable solution for air-suspended secondary springs.
- Rolling Lobe Air Spring — Designed for extremely confined spaces in tram and low-floor bogies.
- Rolling Rubber Springs — Rolling rubber springs for primary and secondary suspension.
- Auxiliary Springs — Provide high lateral deflection in combination with air springs in secondary suspensions.
- Guided Rolling Lobe Air Spring — External guidance increases load capacity compared with unguided designs and protects the spring from external influences.
ApplicationsSecondary suspension systems for railway vehicles, providing body mounting between bogie and vehicle body while minimizing vibration transmission and allowing bogie movement in curves.
