Reinforcements for thermoset and thermoplastic composites CORDENKA® Rayon woven fabrics are optimized for the reinforcement of lightweight composites. The fabrics are available with different weaving patterns and grammature (200–600 g/m²). CORDENKA fabrics provide stiffness and strength on the one hand and impact resistance on the other. By that, CORDENKA fabrics can be used for the construction of lightweight composite parts with excellent energy absorption behavior. The combined use of CORDENKA fabrics with other reinforcements, e.g. carbon fabrics, provides intelligent cost-saving composite design opportunities.
