A pre-shredder is a very high-performance tool to optimise and enhance the safety of ELV shredding facilities. DANIELI HENSCHEL offers seven different models from 400 to 800 HP, double- or triple-shaft, with outputs from 40 to 100 t/h. They are driven by slow or semi-fast motors. If pre-shredding is not possible, the machine automatically shifts into reverse so that unshreddable items can be rejected and disposed off. Containers are usually destroyed in the pre-shredder, which considerably reduces explosions in the downstream shredding system. The double-shaft machines guarantee higher outputs. The frame is easy to open, which simplifies shaft replacement. The triple-shaft machines allow finer granulometries and limited rolling of the materials.
