Product Overview
BBPX-Powder is a family of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) piezoelectric ceramic powders formulated for the manufacture of piezoelectric ceramic components. The range comprises five hard PZT grades and three soft PZT grades. Hard grades feature low dielectric loss and high mechanical quality factor suited to transmitting and high-drive applications. Soft grades provide higher relative permittivity, stronger electromechanical coupling and larger piezoelectric strain constants suited to receiving, sensing and actuation.

Available Material Grades

• Hard PZT: BCP42, BCP44, BCP46, BCP8, BCP81
• Soft PZT: BCP5A, BCP51, BCP5H

Typical Electrical and Mechanical Characteristics

• Hard grades: low dielectric loss, high Qm — optimized for resonant transmitters and high-power operation.
• Soft grades: high relative dielectric constant, elevated coupling coefficients (kt, kp) and increased d33 — optimized for sensors and actuators.
• Detailed parameter tables, typical values and tolerances for each grade are available on request.

Applications

• Manufacture of ultrasonic transducers, sensors, actuators, resonators, sonar systems and industrial ultrasonic equipment; suitable for prototype development and volume production.

Supply, Packaging and Support

• Supplied as dry powder. Particle size distributions and binder/sintering recommendations provided per grade.
• Packaging options: bulk bags, drums or sealed containers. Samples available for qualification.
• Technical datasheets and process support (sintering, pressing, binder strategies) provided to OEMs and manufacturers.
