Description

Product overview
Dorner’s ERT350 is an engineered pallet conveyor system designed for high-capacity automated manufacturing and heavy robotic assembly. The ERT350 uses a locate-and-drop concept that transfers external process forces (riveting, pressing, torquing) into the frame and floor to preserve pallet and conveyor integrity and positioning accuracy.

Applications
  • Heavy robotic assembly operations
  • Large-scale manufacturing lines in appliance, automotive and battery production
  • Zoned 24 VDC pallet applications and heavy-transfer stations

Features & specifications (summary)
  • Locate-and-drop mechanism transferring increased load to frame and ground
  • Supported pallet sizes: 800 × 800 mm up to 1200 × 1200 mm
  • Rated payload: 1,000 lbs (approx. 454 kg) per pallet
  • Conveyor drops onto a floor-mounted ridge with a precision floor-mounted locate unit
  • Standard pallet stops: electric
  • Drop linear actuators: Duff-Norton 24 VDC
  • Anodized aluminum rollers (Ø50 mm × 100 mm length, 100 mm pitch)

Key benefits and functional descriptions
  • Drop & Locate — Using Duff-Norton linear actuators, the ERT350 drops the conveyor after pallet stops locate the pallet. External process forces are routed into the frame and floor, allowing heavy operations while maintaining pallet positioning.
  • Drop & Transfer — Transfer units operate opposite to a conventional lift-and-locate: the mainline conveyor is lowered (via Duff-Norton actuators) while the transfer conveyor remains at operating height, enabling controlled transfers under heavy loads.

Additional design notes
  • Engineered as a pallet system (not a simple belt) to withstand concentrated external process forces
  • Designed for integration in automated manufacturing lines with zoning, transfers, locating and drops
  • Components specified for durability in high-cycle, heavy-duty industrial environments
