Description

Product description
  • 125 mL nominal capacity; suited to degas approximately 60 mL sample volumes prior to analysis.
  • Manufactured from polypropylene (PP): lightweight, chemically resistant and easy to clean.
  • Supplied with GL 45 screw cap allowing controlled release of pressure during degassing.

Usage / Degassing instructions
Use this Erlenmeyer flask to remove dissolved CO₂ from carbonated samples (beer, wine, beverages) before density, refractometry or alcohol analyses to improve measurement repeatability and accuracy.
  • Pour ~60 mL sample at ~20 °C (68 °F) into the flask.
  • Secure the GL 45 screw cap and shake the flask vigorously.
  • Open the cap at intervals to release built-up pressure; reseal and repeat until no further overpressure occurs.
  • Follow standard laboratory safety: open cap gradually and keep face/body away from the opening when releasing pressure.
