Overview
The EFA-SST® MS is a high-speed spiral machine safety door developed specifically for industrial applications as a stand-alone separating safety guard. EFAFLEX applies its spiral technology and a flexible hinge chain to achieve optimal performance and durability.

Low-maintenance counterbalance
The counterbalance uses virtually maintenance-free tension spring assemblies with electromechanical function monitoring for weight compensation and spring-break detection.

Innovative door control
The control unit is designed for worldwide use and operates at performance level PL "d" for safety-relevant control circuits; it is intended to be integrated with higher-level system controls and can be extended with the MS-AM module.

Free-standing door assembly
Self-supporting basic construction with optional floor supports allows freestanding installation; levelling of uneven ground is possible using adjustment screws.

Optional additions
Selectable covers provide finger protection at low overall heights. A transparent cover option allows visual inspection of the integrated safety limit switch (cat. 4 / PL "e" according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1).

High-end safety technology
The door includes an integrated safety contact strip in the main closing edge and an additional light barrier that stops movement immediately if an obstacle is detected. An optional head-safe safety light grid prevents closing when an obstacle is present.
