External clamping flange turning machine (TDF) The portable flange turning machines of the EFCO TDF series are designed for on-site machining of flanges, valves, pumps, turbine housings, and heat exchangers. Their flat design and low weight make them particularly suitable for use in confined spaces. The external clamping allows for easy and quick mounting, typically performed by a single person. The machines feature an integrated adjustment system for precise alignment to the machining surface. The facing head is equipped with two automatic feeds: 0.1 mm/rev for fine machining and 1 mm/rev for turning spiral grooves or achieving a surface roughness of Rz 160. All machines are available with either electric or pneumatic drive. The TDF series includes various models for different machining diameters: TDF-05 / TDF-05A: Machining Ø 0–250 mm, Mounting Ø 250–400 mm, Machine height 265–310 mm, Radial stroke 80 mm, optional Axial stroke 30 mm. TDF-1 / TDF-1A: Machining Ø 0–500 mm, Mounting Ø 260–600 mm, Machine height 265–310 mm, Radial stroke 80 mm, optional Axial stroke 30 mm. TDF-2: Machining Ø 300–1200 mm, Mounting Ø 485–1345 mm, Machine height 350 mm, Radial stroke 100 mm. TDF-3: Machining Ø 500–2200 mm, Mounting Ø 600–2710 mm, Machine height 480 mm, Radial stroke 150 mm. TDF-4: Machining Ø 1500–3500 mm, Mounting Ø 1500–3700 mm, Machine height 780 mm, Radial stroke 200 mm. The TDF machines are suitable for machining smooth and spiral-grooved flange sealing surfaces, internal cones, and bores. They offer high machining quality and are designed for use in the chemical industry, refineries, and power plants.
